ADVANCED FORCE MEASUREMENT

ROCK offers in-house and on-site calibration services for a wide range of dimensional, metallurgical, and electronic equipment.

We also specialize in the maintenance and repair of these instruments.

Among the types of equipment we calibrate and service are load cell sensors and reaction/rotary torque transducers, which are used to measure compression tension.

  • Interface Products

  • Torque Transducers

Interface produces nearly 50 different types of reaction torque and rotary torque transducers. All of Interface’s torque transducers are built using precision manufacturing techniques, and each transducer uses proprietary torque sensors. These sensors allow Interface’s devices to provide the most accurate data possible. Interface offers mounts from pedestals to shafts and flanges, and drive styles vary from hex to square and pulley.

Torque sensors are transducers that convert torsional mechanical input into electrical output signals. Reaction torque sensors measure static torque, whereas rotary torque sensors measure dynamic torque.

Applications that use rotary torque sensors include those that rotate the transducer on a spinning shaft. A rotary torque transducer allows these applications to get the signal off of the rotating element without having an attached cable.

  • Load Cells

Interface manufactures more than 60 types of load cells and mini load cells. All load cells are produced with capacities ranging from 1 lbf/500 gf to 2,000,000 lbf/9,000 kN. Interface also builds load cells in a variety of shapes and sizes, with models similar to pancake load cells and donut load cells. This includes the LowProfile® load cell and thru-hole load cell.

Interface’s proprietary alloy strain gauges are used in all materials the company produces, including:

  • Canisters

  • Rod ends

  • Columns

  • Downhole

  • Coil tubings

  • Load buttons

  • Load washers

Using this technology will allow you to produce the most accurate and reliable data possible.

  • Starrett Products

Starrett’s products are designed for professional use in production and engineering environments. The L2 and S2 Force Systems provide high-performance test frames and multiple levels of software capabilities, which allow them to complete demanding force measurement tests.

Starrett’s systems are sleek, modern, and designed for high performance, but they also include elements that bolster their durability and consistency. Starrett offers a full range of load cell sensors for applications ranging from:

  • Material testing

  • Force analysis

  • Force measurement

All load cells comply with IEEE 1451.4 and meet or exceed the following standards:

  • E4

  • BS 1610

  • ISO 7500-1

  • EN 10002-2

  • ASTM E4

  • BS 1610

  • ISO 7500-1

  • EN 10002-2
